Sexton Seminar on Youth Suicide Prevention

The Sexton Seminar on Suicide Prevention is an annual in-service for professionals working with young people.  With the aid of David Clark, Ph.D., who is the Assistant Dean for Clinical Research and Professor of Psychiatry at the Medical College of Wisconsin Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine, Youth Services helps mental health professionals keep abreast of the latest research on effective strategies for suicide prevention among youth.  In addition to Dr. Clark’s expertise in the field, the seminar attracts leading researchers from around the nation as key note speakers to share their findings.  Attendees are encouraged to ask questions concerning their own current or past cases.

Funding from the Stephen T. Sexton Memorial Foundation makes these seminars possible.

For information about the seminars, contact Youth Services.  Volunteer opportunities are available.  Interested volunteers should contact Youth Services at (847) 724-2620.
